Why do many good coffee chops that are recognizale not sell hot chocolate?

Actually this is a guess, but looking at the sales of hot chocolate they are much lower than espressos and frapuccinos etc. I'm guessing this is because coffee shops do not sell them, but am I even right saying this...?!
