For the last few months my lower calf's have been warm when I get out of bed.?

They have also been tender to touch. I sit all day at work and I am overweight. I went to the Doctors and I have to go for a doppler today. She thinks it possible there are blood clots there. Has anyone heard of this? Does anyone think maybe I do? I hope when I go they will tell me right away if they see clots and would I be admitted to the hospital?
