Will my red devil kill my jaguar cichlid?

they been starting to fight but i am saving for new tank but i cant seperate them i like the jaguar more but i cant give it to noone cuz they say naw he will kill my fish so will he kill the jaaguar the jags 16 inches the red devils 10 will the jaguar stay allive for about to months or forever im gonna get a divider for now thoug but will the jag live
