No. It is impossible for us to see to foresee the complex consequences of cloning humans, which could take some very insidious turns. You say that we could make "better people", but who it to judge what is "better"? The person (or people) judging this is sure to have ingrained biases and prejudice. What would the world be like if a tyrant bent on "racial purity", like Adolph Hitler, had this technology (for example)?
