Proxy through Proxy, is this possible?

In internet explorer or firefox, how do you do the proxy settings so that network traffic goes through a web proxy, and then a local proxy. I have a squid caching server which acts as a local proxy, and the proxy settings are set up for its ip, but I want to use a web proxy too. Is this possible?
