How do you deal with the "know it alls" at work? They get on my nerves!! HELP?

For "know it alls" I always do the whole over praising them, and let themselves put themselves down. If they go along with your over praising, you go spread it around, and next thing you know they are Liars. The only other way would be for them to admit and say actually I don't know/actually I am not that good. This usually lowers the persons ego. I meet a lot of stuck up people and that always works
