High school transcripts bad grades 17 years ago?

Im 35 and want to go to college. The school i am looking into needs my highschool transcripts. I failed highschool and flunked a lot of cles. (I have ADD but got no help back then) Will my bad grade in highschool affect me getting into college? I do have a diploma so i have proof I graduated.
